In the industrial manufacturing sector, Q235 cold rolled steel sheet acts as a universal base raw material. It is widely used across auto spare parts, agricultural machinery hardware, stamping fabrication and many other product lines.
Sanhe Steel maintains a large stock of Q235 cold rolled sheets in our warehouse all year round.
Q235 is a classic grade of ordinary carbon structural steel, produced in line with GB/T700 national standard. The letter "Q" stands for yield strength, and the number "235" means the steel’s minimum yield strength reaches 235MPa. With carbon content around 0.22%, it falls into the low-carbon steel category.
This steel grade stands out for its cost performance, great ductility for forming. It does not require complicated heat treatment to fit most regular industrial working conditions, making it one of the most widely used base steel materials in the whole manufacturing industry.
If thickness exceeds 6mm, hot rolled sheet is the better option. For sheets ranging from 0.5mm to 4mm, cold rolled sheet is recommended.
Pick hot rolled sheet for welding, bending and thick plate cutting work. Choose cold rolled sheet for precision stamping, deep drawing and visible exterior components.
Hot rolled sheet works well for load-bearing structural projects with tight budget limits. Cold rolled sheet is suitable for mass long-term production that demands tight dimensional tolerance and smooth surface finish.
Hot rolled sheet is common for agricultural machinery, heavy equipment and construction projects. Cold rolled sheet is preferred for automotive fittings, hardware goods and precision stamping parts.
